How it all started
In 2014, I had an idea for a blog. Life According to Meka was born. I was afraid of my own talents and for most of its life this blog lay dormant. I didn’t really have a clear vision of what I wanted to blog about either, but has since changed. The name has been updated to A Ville Girl Reads, to honor my childhood neighborhood, The Ville, located in St. Louis, MO.
Who I am
Hello. I am Meka Renee Brown. I am a book lover and collector. I love to read and read voraciously. I am a diverse reader. I read across genres, subjects and author nationalities and ethnicities. My love for reading grew from my childhood. I am an aspiring writer of essay and memoir. I write free verse poetry too.
My Goals
For this blog my goal is to connect with you through my love of books and reading. I plan to share with you what I am currently reading and writing. I plan to share with you my thoughts on what I have read, through book reviews. I hope you will accompany me on this journey.
